Overview
After the success of the inaugural 2025 event, we are back with new gems to show you from the RUSI archive and an update on the projects and achievements we have been working on over the last year. The talk also includes details on an exciting new ‘lived experiences’ project we are about to launch.
We are also very excited to announce that the evening will include a talk by Historic Royal Palaces on ‘The Interior Decoration of The Banqueting House; From the RUSI Museum to the Recent Renovation’. Senior conservator Sarah Pinchin from Historic Royal Palaces will discuss the Banqueting House painted decoration and its conservation.
We would also like to hear any suggestions you have about other ways the library can provide support to members.

Itinerary
17:30 – 17:45 – Arrival and drinks.
17:45 – 18:30 – Introduction, library and archives review of 2025, gems from the RUSI archives and new initiatives and projects for members – Amanda Sheppard, Librarian and Information Manager.
18:30 – 19:00 – Historic Royal Palaces talk: ‘The interior decoration of The Banqueting House; from the RUSI museum to the recent renovation’. Senior conservator Sarah Pinchin from Historic Royal Palaces will discuss the Banqueting House painted decoration and its conservation.
19.00 – 19.30 – Drinks, informal discussion, and opportunity to view archive items on display.
