Her late Majesty The Queen, Patron of RUSI, graciously approved the establishment of an annual Prince Philip Lecture on Military Education in 2021 to honour the late Prince’s legacy, who launched a debate about the importance of military education at a speech delivered to RUSI in 1983.

In this lecture, marking four decades since the Prince’s initiative, Professor Gibson will discuss the future of military education and offer his thoughts on:

  • Lessons from Russia’s war against Ukraine.
  • The future of warfare.
  • How we need to organise ourselves internally and externally, including the importance of cross-sector partnerships.

The lecture will be chaired by Admiral Sir Philip Jones, RUSI Trustee and former First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff, Royal Navy.

This is a hybrid event exclusively for members, taking place at RUSI, 61 Whitehall, London, SW1A 2ET, and online. If you have any questions regarding this event email [email protected]
