Overview

The UK's defence front line is undergoing a rapid technological transformation, driven by the 2025 Strategic Defence Review, which envisions a ‘leading tech-enabled defence power’ by 2035. This shift moves the UK military from a ‘joint force’ to an ‘integrated force’ that prioritises digital lethality, autonomy and speed over traditional mass.

Naomi Hulme will explore how the integration of cutting-edge technologies – from AI, modelling and simulation, to advanced sensors and autonomous systems – is creating new paradigms for defence capabilities and redefining what constitutes the defence front line.
