The workshop consisted of a series of seminars from both RUSI staff and external speakers from the UK Ministry of Defence, N Square, VERTIC, and the European Leadership Network. The sessions included introductions to nuclear deterrence, disarmament, and non-proliferation. This year’s workshop also helped participants unpack technological complexity and its impact on nuclear weapons decision-making.
This workshop was aimed at postgraduate students and early career professionals working in the nuclear technology field who had not yet had significant exposure to nuclear weapons policy issues, including those in academia, government, and industry.
