Overview
UK PONI will host its annual introductory training course covering the basics of nuclear technology for early career professionals running on the 4th and 5th March 2026.
We will be running seminars with experts at the UK National Nuclear Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, Babcock, AWE and the University of Leicester, covering the basics of nuclear physics, nuclear weapons and delivery systems, as well as the impact of disruptive technologies on deterrence.
The workshop is aimed at early career professionals working in the nuclear field. There is no requirement of prior knowledge about nuclear physics and technologies. And, although this is intended to be an introductory course, those with prior knowledge and experience are also welcome.
The workshop will take place over two afternoons and each session will allow participants to pose questions related to the training. All participants who register will receive online details the week prior to the event.
