Overview
The Defence Diplomacy Strategy sets a clear and focused direction to deliver international impact. By prioritising key relationships, placing NATO first, and aligning our global activity to our objectives, the strategy will enhance the UK’s ability to deter adversaries and shape the international environment. It sets a course for focusing on growth, driving exports, industrial partnerships, inward investment, and defence resilience.
As the Ministry of Defence launches a public summary of the Defence Diplomacy Strategy, Lord Coaker will explain how the strategy’s detailed actions will make a tangible contribution to the UK’s security and growth: strengthening our alliances, expanding our global influence, and supporting jobs. He will discuss how UK defence will ensure that every UK engagement overseas builds lasting partnerships that keep Britain secure at home and strong abroad.
