Overview
Operation Epic Fury, a major combat operation launched on 28 February by the United States and Israel against Iran, with the aim of destroying the country’s missile and military capabilities and preventing it from obtaining nuclear weapons, is set to reshape the geopolitics of the Middle East. In a video statement, President Trump urged the Iranian people to use the large-scale attacks on Iran to overthrow the country’s clerical establishment.
The panel will discuss the ongoing conflict, the potential for wider regional escalation, implications of regime change, medium- and long-term implications for regional stability, and UK/Western interests in the Middle East.
