This online webinar features a new CRAAFT (Collaborative Responses to the Role of New Technologies in Terrorist Financing) research briefing, ‘Terrorist Use of Hybrid Threat Finance Networks’, by Jessica Davis, President and Principal Consultant with Insight Threat Intelligence, as well as President of the Canadian Association for Security and Intelligence Studies, in discussion with Gonzalo Saiz, Research Fellow at CFS at RUSI.

The session will explore how terrorist actors use cryptocurrencies alongside informal value transfer systems and other financial channels, highlighting examples linked to the Islamic State and its affiliates. It will also examine how stronger public–private cooperation and greater international regulatory coordination could become key priorities in efforts to disrupt these financing channels.
