Overview 

This event will bring together a select group of senior voices to explore the theme of women in politics and engagement with the Middle East, including leadership, policy influence, and the evolving role of women in shaping UK–MENA relations. 

The discussion will be followed by a drinks reception, offering an opportunity to connect with fellow young professionals, policymakers, and those with an interest in the region. 


Featuring

Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh OBE, legal professional, media executive and cultural ambassador, with a strong background in international relations and public policy. She serves as a board member for the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy - strategising to promote cultural diplomacy and intercultural relations. Tasmina founded The Sovereign Al Power Index - a global index with a rigourous and multidimentional scoring framework which quantifies where every major nation standards in the global Al competition.
 
Charlotte Leslie, Director of the Conservative Middle East Council (CMEC) and former Member of Parliament for Bristol North West. She has extensive experience in UK politics and Middle East engagement, working to strengthen dialogue and understanding between the UK and the region.
