Overview

The capacity to operate across all domains will face challenges from air and missile threats, both within Europe and beyond, which endanger deployed forces and the support systems they rely on. The effectiveness of various components of the joint force during all phases of mobilisation and deployment will hinge on their responses to these air and missile threats. Furthermore, maintaining political autonomy will necessitate a certain level of defence for national territories.

The RUSI 2025 IAMD conference will explore how the joint force can regain its ability to access and navigate freely within a theatre amid the increasing prevalence of missile threats.
