Overview

Under the theme From Coordination to Collective Power: UK–EU Sanctions Cooperation, The Sanctions and Illicit Finance Monitoring and Analysis Network (SIFMANet) Summit 2026 will provide a unique forum convening policymakers, practitioners and experts from both sides of the Channel to strengthen UK–EU sanctions cooperation.

Held at 61 Whitehall in London on 9 December, the Summit will combine fireside conversations, thematic roundtables and off-the-record strategic scenario discussions. Sessions will examine maritime sanctions and the shadow fleet, crypto and digital payment channels, sanctions following a potential ceasefire in Ukraine, and the implications of a future sanctions scenario involving China.

The invitation-only programme will conclude with a public discussion on how the UK and EU can shape the next era of sanctions cooperation.
