Overview

With the World Wars gradually falling out of living memory, this event will look at the role that commemoration has to play now and in the future, including as an instrument of international diplomacy.

Sessions throughout the morning will include a keynote address from Lord Ricketts and a panel session including Professor Beatrice Heuser.

A range of panellists with international military, political and diplomatic expertise will consider the relevance of war commemoration for future generations and its potential to help governments and countries meet global challenges.
