Overview

The UK PONI Annual Conference brings together emerging and established specialists from across the nuclear sector, fostering a diverse and informed dialogue on the most critical nuclear issues we face today.

Participants will have the chance to engage with fresh perspectives through panel discussions and debates with fellow nuclear professionals from academia, government, industry, think tanks, and the military.

This year's conference will delve into the current state of the nuclear field as well as future trends through panel presentations by emerging experts on the following topics:

  • Shifting strategies and flexibility in European nuclear deterrence
  • Strategic and security aspects of civil nuclear energy
  • Emerging technologies and implications for deterrence dynamics and arms control
  • Enhancing the UK’s nuclear skills across the civil and defence sectors

In addition to panel discussions, the conference will feature high-profile speakers and provide opportunities for attendees to network during a lunch and a drinks reception. The conference will also feature a poster competition, showcasing innovative research projects from emerging experts in the field.

UK PONI is dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourages attendance by women, persons with disabilities, and underrepresented minorities.
