Overview
Warhead takes us on a fascinating journey through the brain to show you why, if you want to understand warfare, you must first look inside your own head. Drawing on his work as a neuroscientist, and after advising the Pentagon and the UK government for over a decade, Dr Wright reveals how the brain is wired for conflict, both in the office and on the battlefield.
With a unique framework that helps explain today’s rising tensions and how to defuse them, Warhead provides a fresh neuroscientific exploration of the science of war. It brings cutting-edge research to life through battle stories from across history.
In this wide discussion, Dr Wright will explore how neuroscience can inform our understanding of warfare, decision-making, and human conflict.
Warhead: How the Brain Shapes War and War Shapes the Brain is published by Pan Macmillan in October 2025. Copies of the book can be purchased after the event.
