Overview
Deputy Foreign Minister Marian will reflect on the future security and stability of Central and Eastern Europe, which will be significantly shaped by the outcome of the ongoing Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. He will consider various scenarios and possible outcomes for the war, highlighting the need to contain Russia and ensure its withdrawal from Ukraine.
The importance of countering Russia’s hybrid operations in other Eastern European countries, including in Moldova, Georgia and Armenia, will also be discussed.
About the Speaker
His Excellency Jan Marian was appointed to his current role in May 2023. He previously served as the Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership, Acting Director of Communications, and Strategic Communications Co-ordinator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechia.
