To mark International Women’s Day, Her Excellency Jane Marriott, British High Commissioner to Pakistan, will discuss her varied career in His Majesty’s Diplomatic Service.
Women make up over 30% of all UK Heads of Missions, filling key posts including those in the US and China. They also play leading roles in multilateral organisations.
The High Commissioner will discuss the role of women in foreign policymaking and diplomacy, current trends in diplomatic leadership, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by female diplomats.
The conversation will be moderated by Dr Karin von Hippel, Director-General, RUSI.
