Dr Shetler-Jones will offer an analysis and update on the significance of the Australia-UK-US defence technology partnership, by concentrating on an assessment of the strategic drivers that led to the AUKUS agreement, what it means for the UK ‘tilt’ to the Indo-Pacific, as well as long-term trends in the military strategic balance of power. Other aspects for discussion will include the implications for industry,  and alliance dynamics.

The briefing will be chaired by Dr Neil Melvin, Director, International Security Studies, RUSI.
